Conservatives (and liberals) react to The Twitter Files Part 2, Twitter's claim that it didn't 'shadow ban'

As Twitchy has reported, Bari Weiss has dropped Part 2 of the Twitter files. She was apparently given employee-level access to Twitter’s systems and is checking out who was caught in Twitter’s “Visibility Filter.” Imagine that a Stanford doctor was put on a “Trends Blacklist” for arguing that COVID-19 lockdowns would harm schoolchildren. Or Dan Bongino was put on a “Search Blacklist.”

We ALWAYS knew we were a target of the Twitter suppression machine. ALWAYS. Yet liberals insisted it was another “conspiracy theory.” Tonight is vindication, yet I expect no apologies from liberals. They live to abuse power and they’ll make no apologies for doing so.

— Dan Bongino (@dbongino) December 9, 2022

Before the new reporting most people knew shadow-banning happened but there was always an out where people could say you just weren’t as popular as you thought. (I’ve never suspected I was shadow banned, sometimes I just suck, but obviously some people were.)

— Jeremy Khan (@JeremyMcLellan) December 9, 2022

All the people saying “well duh” are being too clever by half, there was always an element of doubt and if you complained about being censored without proof it was easy to ridicule and you maybe felt ridiculous doing it. I do think this changes things.

— Jeremy Khan (@JeremyMcLellan) December 9, 2022

For years you called this a conspiracy theory, @oliverdarcy https://t.co/GgRWxXDvym

So 200 people per day for how many years? That sounds like a really juicy and big class-action lawsuit. How much time did users waste making content that went nowhere because Twitter was defrauding them? https://t.co/hLkqYAGaR4

— FilmLadd (@FilmLadd) December 9, 2022

To those “journalists” attempting to minimize:

The #TwitterFiles are, objectively, exposing the most powerful censorship operation ever conducted.

They worked side-to-side with Facebook and the US government to manipulate the world’s discourse. https://t.co/6AxYvgq0YO

— David Steinberg (@realDSteinberg) December 9, 2022

Fauci was deposed over this so I guess the question now becomes did anyone put outside pressure on Twitter to take this action. https://t.co/LBo2u6QvpQ

— Stephen L. Miller (@redsteeze) December 9, 2022

Democrat politicians and liberal media members will read the latest #TwitterFiles and be angry. The anger is that they can no longer get away with their scam.

They will now try to destroy the platform. We’re already seeing the strategy of claiming it’s a hate site. https://t.co/69L8gzokZw

— Jason Rantz on KTTH Radio (@jasonrantz) December 9, 2022

Progressives will respond, “So what, these were fringe personalities who were uniquely dangerous.” Well, conservatives like me view people like Fauci as uniquely dangerous — more credibly I’d add — and no one’s calling for him to be silenced. https://t.co/1J137jUICM

— Tom Elliott (@tomselliott) December 9, 2022

Twitter was rigged by lefties who lied about it. Like almost every other media-tech company. You think @yoyoel was interested in open debate? Please. https://t.co/ctd2LNvuIr

— Andrew Sullivan (@sullydish) December 9, 2022

Weird how Twitter’s mass “visibility filtering” of prominent conservatives coincided with Democrats winning three elections in a row

Must be a coincidence

— Will Chamberlain (@willchamberlain) December 9, 2022

Hey @ElonMusk,

Will you commit to releasing a list of all the major accounts that Twitter took these secret actions against? https://t.co/eTePL8Kifz

— Ryan Saavedra (@RealSaavedra) December 9, 2022

Amazing. https://t.co/51i3EXOyXD

— Mark Hemingway (@Heminator) December 9, 2022

Wow.

So you Lilliputians decided to override a dissenting Stanford medical professor in an area of core competence *during* a real-time pandemic? You took Fauci/Collins party line?

I know Jay. The problem isn’t Jay.

The problem is YOU. What the hell is wrong with you monsters? https://t.co/JkkN8jb0Pz

— Eric Weinstein (@EricRWeinstein) December 9, 2022

I was informed that we were all insane. The blacklist did not exist. We were assured. How much did @Jack know? Because he insisted this did not exist. I want to know what my account personally was subjected to as its growth has been stunted again and again @ElonMusk. https://t.co/usOHZimAMa

— Carmine Sabia (@CarmineSabia) December 9, 2022

The defense of Twitter’s conduct on the left is now going to rapidly shift from “they did nothing wrong” to “those people deserved to be censored.”

— Mark Hemingway (@Heminator) December 9, 2022

The significance of Elon Musk buying Twitter can not be underrated! All of the stuff he is exposing would have only gotten many times worse over the coming years ⚠️

— Matt Wallace (@MattWallace888) December 9, 2022

Elon Musk has displaced Donald Trump as the most hated man in the world by the American left. #TwitterFiles2

— Larry Elder (@larryelder) December 9, 2022

I would like to know if there are any sizable left-leaning accounts Twitter was “visibility filtering” — or if it was it all strictly on the right.

— Mark Hemingway (@Heminator) December 9, 2022

What kind of a country would we have if conservatives had been able to speak freely for the last few years?

This is the greatest election interference in American history.

All executed by the left

Communists censorship to suffocate and silenced opposition.

Rigged.

— Benny Johnson (@bennyjohnson) December 9, 2022

This is as terrible as it was expected. @elonmusk would it be possible to allow every user to see their own “Visibility Filtering” along the lines of Truth and Reconciliation in South Africa or East Germans being allowed to see their Stasi files? https://t.co/1ZXH9vBeLW

— Hans Mahncke (@HansMahncke) December 9, 2022

Twitter interfered in the 2020 election. Jack Dorsey ran the show, lied about shadow banning, and is ultimately responsible for the company he ran. https://t.co/xFdYlPuyk3

— Brent Bozell (@BrentBozell) December 9, 2022

You and I both know the Congressional Republicans aren’t going to do a damn thing about this.

Thanks, twittter, for keeping us safe from physicians warning about adverse effects of lockdowns while filling our timelines with lunatics fantasizing about kicking unvaccinated people out of hospitals. https://t.co/iXncRmaRKX

— Chief Impact Officer BT (@back_ttys) December 9, 2022

When we said they were shadowbanning conservatives they called us conspiracy theorists. It was like the act of God to get our tweets moving. @dbongino has been taking about this for a long time on air. Now he is vindicated.

Those lying hacks.

— Kambree (@KamVTV) December 9, 2022

As everyone’s saying, we all knew it was happening, we just didn’t have proof that it was happening. We’ll be curious to see if Weiss digs up any popular left-wing accounts that were slapped with “Visibility Filtering.”

they lied, relentlessly to our face, for years. we were right about everything. https://t.co/B0DYUh2g3J

— Mike Solana (@micsolana) December 9, 2022

All I can keep thinking is that I must be doing something right for them to go to these great lengths to censor me. I promise you, I will never stop.
