“Selling with Ritchie Bros. is a regular part of our business”

Junior Davis started his construction company in the mid-80s with two pieces of equipment. Today, Jr. Davis Construction is one of the largest heavy highway contractors in Central Florida, with 1,600+ equipment items and more than 1,200 employees.

This month Jr. Davis Construction will sell approximately 50 surplus items in our five-day Orlando auction, including late-model articulated dump trucks, compactors, excavators, dozers, motor graders, wheel loaders, and more. All items will be sold without minimum bids or reserve prices.

“We purchase equipment new, work it on projects all over the state, and then deliver it to Ritchie Bros. to be sold to a new owner,” said Junior. “Selling with Ritchie Bros. is just a regular part of our business now. Over the years, we have built a great relationship because of their professionalism and credibility.”

“When you see dealers…you know you’re in the right place”

Junior Davis started working construction in high school, left university for a management position, and eventually started his own company in 1985. He started with small land clearing jobs and site work, then moved into residential and commercial construction, road work and more.

“While we mainly purchase new equipment, but we come to Ritchie Bros. if we’re looking for something specific that we can’t purchase new,” said Junior. “In Orlando there is a great selection of late-model, low-hour, well-maintained equipment. When you see dealers onsite looking to purchase equipment for their customers, you know you’re in the right place!”

The Jr. Davis Construction equipment package to be sold in Orlando includes seven Caterpillar 745 articulated dump trucks, two Caterpillar 349FL excavators, and a 2019 Caterpillar 623K motor scraper. For a complete list of equipment to be sold in Orlando, visit rbauction.com/Orlando2023.
