GOOD MORNING TO ACTUALLY SEE BEHIND ME HERE IS THAT HOUSE IN QUESTION HERE ON ARRAS ROAD WHERE POLICE WERE CALLED HERE LAST NIGHT FOR THAT SHOTS FIRED CALL. NOW, AS YOU BOTH WERE TALKING ABOUT, IT IS THIS SAME LOCATION THAT WLWT HAS CONFIRMED THAT WAS LISTED AS JOE MIXON RESIDENCE EARLIER THIS YEAR. AND THOSE COURT DOCUMENTS THAT WERE FILED FOR THE AGGRAVATED MENACING CHARGE. BUT NOW, AS OF TODAY, IT IS NOT CLEAR IF MIXON STILL LIVES HERE. IN FACT, A TRUST AS LISTED AS THE OWNER OF THIS HOME. POLICE WERE CALLED HERE TO A ROAD ABOUT 830 LAST NIGHT FOR REPORTS OF SHOTS FIRED. WE DO KNOW THAT INVESTIGATORS TELL US THEY FOUND ONE CHILD HURT. NOW, AS KELLY WAS TALKING ABOUT, THAT CHILD SUFFERED MINOR INJURIES AND WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL. RIGHT NOW, POLICE HAVE NOT SHARED THE AGE OF THE VICTIM OR ANY SUSPECT INFORMATION. OUR CAMERAS WERE THERE AS POLICE TRYING TO PIECE TOGETHER OVERNIGHT WHAT EXACTLY HAPPENED. THE INVESTIGATION LASTED WELL INTO THE NIGHTTIME HOURS. IN FACT, LAW ENFORCEMENT WAS HERE FOR NEARLY 7 HOURS WITH DEPUTIES ALSO GOING IN AND OUT OF THE HOME. RIGHT NOW, IT IS NOT CLEAR IF ANYONE WAS DETAINED OR TAKEN INTO CUSTODY. AGAIN, WE CAN CONFIRM THAT THIS HOUSE BEHIND ME ON A ROAD IS THE SAME RESIDENCE THAT IS LISTED IN COURT DOCUMENTS. PRETTY PREVIOUSLY THIS YEAR FOR JOE MIXON. AGAIN, IT IS NOT CONFIRMED TODAY. THAT IS STILL HIS RESIDENCE, ALTHOUGH WE DID SPEAK WITH MIXON SISTER AND SHE SAYS THAT HER BROTHER, JOE MIXON, IS NOT INVOLVED IN THIS INCIDENT. THE POLICE HAVE NOT SAID IF MIXON IS INVOLVED IN THIS INCIDENT. EITHER OR OR NOT. NOW, WE DO KNOW THAT THIS IS EARLY IN THE INVESTIGATION. The house in question is the same house listed as Joe Mixon’s in February, when he was charged in a warrant for pointing a gun at a woman and threatening her. The charge was later dismissed and the case was reassigned. It is not clear if he still resides there. A trust is listed as the owner of the property.Authorities are continuing to work to find out exactly who was involved and what led to the shooting. WLWT’s cameras were on the scene as police tried to piece together what happened overnight.
