Twenty-one-year-old Michael Stewart, student of Long Level, Brensbury in St Thomas, succumbed to injuries he sustained in a motor vehicle collision in the parish on Sunday, April 9.
Reports from the Yallahs police are that about 7:30 pm, Stewart, operating his motorcycle, and the driver of a Toyota Probox motorcar, were traveling along the Long Level Road in the parish heading in the same direction.
The driver of the Probox signalled a left turn to enter his home, and Stewart reportedly tried to overtake the Probox while it was turning, resulting in a collision.
The police were alerted, and Stewart was assisted to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the Probox was not injured.
Investigations continue into the incident.
